How to use Exergen Temporal Artery thermometers
Step 1
Place probe so it is touching the center of the forehead. Press and hold the button.
Step 2
Continue to hold the button while sliding the thermometer in a straight line to the hairline as it beeps. Avoid touching eye glasses or hair.
Step 3
While still holding the button down on the thermometer, use the scanner to touch the soft spot behind the ear. Then let go of the button and read the temperature.
