CMS Releases Annual Overall Hospital Quality Ratings; All Five Star Recipients Use Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers

Watertown, MA – October 8, 2025 – Recently, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released their annual Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings list. Hospitals are evaluated based on a variety of measures across five areas of quality into a single star rating for each hospital. Once reporting thresholds are met, a hospital’s Overall Star Rating is calculated using only those measures for which data are available. The complete list of five-star-rated hospitals can be found here. All of the hospitals use Exergen’s award-winning Temporal Artery Thermometers.

What stands out is the overwhelming preference for Exergen thermometers in these healthcare facilities. This underscores the trust and confidence that healthcare professionals place in Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometers. Physicians and nurses prefer Exergen because they deliver quick, highly accurate readings with a simple swipe across the forehead by gently touching it.

“It is an honor that every CMS five-star hospital relies on Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers. Their trust reflects our commitment to accuracy, ease of use, and patient safety. These prestigious institutions choosing Exergen underscores our shared dedication to delivering the highest standard of care,” said Dr. Francesco Pompei, Founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation.
