Watertown, Mass, August 21, 2025 – To date only 41 hospitals have earned American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet with Distinction program. This growing list that includes Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center Fort Worth (Texas), Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (Boston), Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital (Atlanta), and Rush Copley Medical Center (Aurora, Ill.) to name a few comprised the world’s highest performing Magnet organizations for their quality patient care and nursing excellence. All of the hospitals on this list use award winning FDA and CE approved Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometers.
“Exergen congratulates the distinguished group of 41 hospitals honored with the ANCC Magnet with Distinction designation, a rare and elite list that recognizes hospitals for their excellence in nursing and patient care,” said Dr. Francesco Pompei, CEO and founder of Exergen Corporation. “We are humble that all of these top-performing institutions rely on Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers to support their frontline caregivers. About The ANCC’s Magnet with Distinction Program
ANCC, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, awards hospitals Magnet designations based on quality patient care and nursing excellence. To be recognized, hospitals must undergo a comprehensive application and review process. Hospitals with the award typically have high nurse job satisfaction, low levels of RN turnover and lower 30-day mortality rates. Fewer than 10% of the hospitals in the U.S. have earned Magnet status, and only a select few hospitals will earn the new “with Distinction” honor to recognize an “elite level” of performance, according to the ANCC. The Magnet with Distinction program was created as a special designation to celebrate hospitals and healthcare organizations that exceed scoring thresholds required to earn Magnet recognition.
