Description
Unlike most other thermometers, the Exergen TemporalScanner does not come into contact with mucous membranes, and as such, the following options are available against the risk of cross-contamination when using the instrument between patients.
- Insert instrument into sheath bottom end first. If instrument is on a cable, insert probe end first and twist sheath at neck with fingers to assure film is smooth over probe lens.
- Wrap additional film around probe neck. Film should be smooth over probe lens.
- Slide additional film under fingers while using.
