Mindray Integrates TAT-5000S Temporal Artery Thermometer in Accutorr 7 and VS-900 Series

Exergen Corporation, a global leader in noncontact temperature measurement technologies for medical and industrial applications, today announced that Mindray of Shenzhen, China has integrated the TAT-5000S temporal artery thermometer in both the Accutorr 7 Series and the VS-900 Series of vital signs monitors.

Focus on innovation

“We are very happy to expand our relationship with a reputable manufacturer as Mindray”, says Dr. Frank Pompei, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Exergen Medical. “Mindray is widely recognized as a company that designs, manufactures and sells innovative and high-quality vital signs monitors and related services. Exergen Medical and Mindray are very well-aligned when it comes to our business principles. We both believe very strongly in innovation. Customer satisfaction is an absolute top priority for both companies.” Mindray will show the Accutorr 7 Series and the VS-900 Series virtual signs monitor with the integrated TAT-5000S thermometer for the first time at Medica Duesseldorf, November 2019.
Non-invasive and accurate

“The TAT-5000S is a non-invasive temporal artery thermometer, which is ideal for doctors, nurses, and patients,” says Dr. Marybeth Pompei, Senior Vice President & Chief Clinical Scientist, Exergen Corporation. “Vital signs monitors such as the Mindray Accutorr 7 and VS-900 Series that integrate the TAT-5000S measure the temperature of the blood in the temporal artery on the forehead of a patient. Such a measurement of the core body temperature is not only non-invasive and thus very comfortable. It is also a very accurate method of measuring body temperature.”
