The LighTouch LTN Axillary models are designed for use on neonates, and may also be used to take an axillary temperature on any pediatric or adult patient where access to the ear would be difficult or contraindicated, or where axillary temperature may be preferred. The LTN models measure axillary temperature in a second, dramatically minimizing exposure for the infant and nursing time for the staff. They can be used on wet skin, in incubators, during phototherapy, and in the presence of radiant heaters, warming pads, or other heat sources. They can be used to instantly verify ambient, isolette, blood product, feeding solution, or medication temperatures.
Available in two models, the LTN-1 uses the standard LighTouch disposable cover; the LTN-2 uses a full sheath enclosing the entire instrument for maximum protection against cross-contamination. Both instruments can be cleaned with any common disinfectant including bleach, and can be gas or plasma sterilized. |
