PRECALIBRATED IRt/c's
IRt/c infrared thermocouples (t/c) require no power. Just wire them up to standard thermocouple controllers, PLC and computer t/c input cards, t/c displays, and t/c transmitters. It's that easy!
The precalibrated IRt/c's are designed to match t/c's at temperatures close to their calibration points, within 2% (see table below) all precalbrated IRt/c's can read outside the 2% linear range by utilizing signal output tables and polynomials.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
SIGNAL OUTPUT : Thermocouple type J, K, E, T, over temperature range specified
POWER REQUIREMENTS: None
COLD JUNCTION COMPENSATION: By measuring instrument, as with conventional thermocouples
EMISSIVITY: 0.9 for non-metal surfaces
REPEATABILITY: +/- 0.01 C
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT: 0.02% of reading/F (0.04 %/ C) (see TN #90)
RESPONSE TIME CONSTANT : 0.1 seconds approximately
RESOLUTION: 0.0001 C approximately
SPECTRAL RESPONSE: 6.5 to 14 microns

The thermocouple type and pre-calibrated temperature range can be found on the heat shrink which is on the t/c cable going into the IRt/c.
Serial numbers are product independent and unique. They are etched on the housing of the unit. The model can not be determined or tracked by serial number. The serial number sequence is YYWWXXX
YY: Reverse digits of the year manufactured (i.e. 2008 would appear as "80")
WW: Reverse digits of the week manufactured (i.e. week 3 would appear as "30")
XXX: A sequential number by week of order, independent of product line. |
